Freda Zecher-Tropp, Amherst Resident

The Amherst Peanut Line Trail Supporters advocate for the completion of the remaining section of the Canandaigua-Niagara Falls rail bed to an improved multi-use trail. We are a group of residents, business owners and bike organizations passionate about inclusive access to greenspace for pedestrians and bicyclists, whether for health & wellness, safe travel, recreation, or commuting to school, work or a favorite place to eat.

Crossing approximately five miles between Transit Road (just south of Casey) on the east end and running west to meeting the Ellicott Creek Path at Dodge and North Forest, completing the Amherst section of the trail will connect to miles of trailways through Clarence and points east as far as Akron and the Canalway Trail beyond, and the Tonawandas and points west including Niagara Falls and Buffalo.
